Welcome to Claire Lune. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the website www.clairelune.it, including all purchases made through the online store.
By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using this website.
These Terms are drafted in accordance with applicable Italian law, European consumer protection legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Throughout these Terms, the expressions "Claire Lune", "we", "our", and "us" refer to Claire Lune by Chiara Della Santina.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to all visitors of the website and to every purchase made through www.clairelune.it.
The products offered through this website are intended for private customers as well as professionals, galleries, interior designers and hospitality projects.
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years of age or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian;
- the information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete;
- you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
Claire Lune reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where fraudulent activity, inaccurate information or misuse of the website is reasonably suspected.
3. Nature of the Products
Claire Lune creates contemporary ceramic artworks and ritual objects that celebrate the dialogue between art, functionality and contemplative living.
Unless otherwise specified, every ceramic piece is individually handmade in Italy using traditional ceramic techniques.
Because of their handmade nature, each piece is unique. Slight differences in:
- dimensions;
- shape;
- surface texture;
- glazing;
- colour;
- firing effects;
are an inherent characteristic of handcrafted ceramics and should not be considered defects.
Where a product is described as One of a Kind, the customer acknowledges that no identical replacement can be produced.
Many pieces are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Natural materials such as stoneware, porcelain, brass, wood, minerals and botanical elements may age or develop a patina over time. These changes are part of the natural life of the object and contribute to its unique character.
4. Product Information
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions and colours accurately represent each piece.
However:
- colours may vary depending on individual monitor settings;
- handmade objects naturally differ from photographed examples;
- dimensions are approximate unless otherwise specified.
Product photographs are intended to illustrate the overall appearance of each object and should not be interpreted as guaranteeing complete uniformity.
Claire Lune reserves the right to modify product descriptions, pricing, imagery or specifications without prior notice.
5. Availability
Products are offered subject to availability.
Some works are available as:
- Ready to Ship
- Made to Order
- Pre-order
Where a product is available for pre-order or made to order, estimated production times are indicated on the relevant product page.
Current estimated production time for pre-orders is generally:
4–6 weeks
unless otherwise stated.
Production times are estimates and may vary depending on studio workload, drying times, firing schedules or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Should significant delays occur, customers will be informed as soon as possible.
6. Orders
Once an order has been placed, the customer will receive an email confirming receipt of the order.
This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of the order.
A contract between the customer and Claire Lune is concluded only once the order has been accepted and prepared for fulfilment.
Claire Lune reserves the right to decline orders in cases including, but not limited to:
- product unavailability;
- pricing errors;
- payment issues;
- suspected fraud;
- incorrect customer information;
- circumstances preventing fulfilment.
Where payment has already been received for an order that cannot be fulfilled, a full refund will be issued using the original payment method.
7. Prices
All prices displayed on www.clairelune.it are shown in Euro (€).
Where applicable, prices include VAT in accordance with Italian law. Claire Lune operates under the Italian Forfettario tax regime, pursuant to Article 1, paragraphs 54–89 of Law No. 190/2014, as amended. Where VAT is not applicable under this regime, this is clearly indicated on invoices and fiscal documentation.
Claire Lune reserves the right to modify product prices at any time without prior notice. Any price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
8. Payment Methods
Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments and other authorised payment providers.
We currently accept:

All payment transactions are encrypted and processed through secure third-party providers.
Claire Lune never has access to, nor stores, customers' payment card details.
Orders paid by bank transfer will be processed once payment has been received. If payment is not received within five (5) business days, the order may be cancelled.
9. Order Acceptance
After placing an order, you will receive an automatic confirmation acknowledging receipt of your purchase request.
This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order.
Claire Lune reserves the right to verify order information before accepting it and may contact you should additional information be required.
If an order cannot be fulfilled for any reason—including product unavailability, payment issues or pricing errors—we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and issue a full refund where applicable.
10. Handmade Nature of the Work
Each Claire Lune creation is individually handmade.
Small variations in appearance are an intrinsic feature of artisanal production and testify to the uniqueness of every object.
Variations in:
- colour;
- texture;
- proportions;
- glaze behaviour;
- firing marks;
- natural surface irregularities;
shall not be considered defects and do not constitute grounds for cancellation, replacement or refund.
Similarly, natural ageing of materials—including brass, ceramics, wood, paper, botanical elements and natural stones—is part of the aesthetic evolution of the work.
11. Product Care
Ceramic objects are durable but should nevertheless be handled with care.
Unless otherwise stated on the individual product page:
- avoid sudden thermal shock;
- avoid dropping or impacting ceramic pieces;
- clean gently using a soft cloth;
- avoid abrasive cleaning products;
- use only as described in the product information.
Some ritual objects may naturally develop marks through regular use. These signs are considered part of the object's evolving character and are not regarded as defects.
12. Warranty
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantees provided under applicable European consumer protection legislation.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects existing at the time of delivery.
The warranty does not cover:
- accidental damage;
- improper use;
- negligence;
- normal wear;
- misuse of ritual objects;
- natural ageing of materials;
- variations resulting from the handmade production process.
Because every Claire Lune piece is individually handmade, slight differences between photographed products and delivered works do not constitute defects.
13. Intellectual Property
All content available on this website—including but not limited to:
- ceramic designs;
- sculptures;
- ritual objects;
- photographs;
- artworks;
- illustrations;
- texts;
- product descriptions;
- logos;
- branding;
- graphic design;
- website content;
is the exclusive intellectual property of Claire Lune and/or Chiara Della Santina unless otherwise stated.
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or used without prior written permission.
The purchase of a physical artwork or ceramic object does not transfer any copyright or intellectual property rights.
14. Certificate of Authenticity
Where specified, artworks and one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The certificate confirms the originality of the artwork but does not transfer copyright ownership.
Claire Lune retains all reproduction rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Claire Lune shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from:
- delays in shipping;
- courier services;
- customs procedures;
- temporary website interruptions;
- events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful under applicable legislation.
16. Force Majeure
Claire Lune shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- fire;
- flooding;
- strikes;
- pandemics;
- governmental restrictions;
- war;
- interruptions in transport or courier services;
- shortages of raw materials;
- interruptions in electricity or internet services.
Where such circumstances occur, obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the event.
